English Calf - unlapped calfskin high quality vellum for re-skinning a banjo. Allow at least 2 inches (50mm) surplus for lapping, ie larger than the banjo rim.
Natural vellum has a warm, full bodied banjo sound and needs to be fitted to the banjo. It will be affected by differences in temperature and humidity but it will give a more authentic 'banjo' sound.
